Photo shoot.

Olivia and I had some pictures taken by my incredibly talented cousin Alaina this week.  (her website + her facebook.)  She wanted to experiment with morning light, and we were very willing subjects.

Alaina  is really the best.  Some of these pictures are fully edited, others aren’t (and are still completely beautiful); she had a big shoot coming up and knew she wouldn’t have time to fix them all up for me any time soon, but wanted for me to be able to see my pictures asap.  So she brought my cd over the very same day.  All for a free shoot where we “helped” her, but I secretly think she gave me a lot more than we gave her.

Probably Olivia’s best smile of the shoot.  She wasn’t all that interested in complying that morning.

This whole sequence cracks me up:

I love her little arm around my shoulders.

Even when she was trying to comply, she ended up with a grimace-smile.  I kind of like her crazy sticking-out hairs over there.  They pretty accurately convey her personality, I think.

If it looks like I’m sitting on nothing over there on the side, it’s because I’m sitting on nothing over there on the side.

“I have rocks in my shoes!!!”

Having a little talk that was like, “If you take more pictures with me, I’ll buy you french toast from a restaurant!”  Which I wouldn’t call bribery, per se, more like positive reinforcement, yes?

You can see how well my positive reinforcement went over. (but she did get her french toast.)
