Nobody let summer end, ok?

Mr. Russell H. Coy had his 3rd birthday last week.

We attended his fab birthday party because we love yummy food and games and pinatas and, most especially, because we love that little Russy-bus.

(and I’m not really certain of the origins of that nickname, but there you have it.)

He loves presents!

I toted Thomas about like he was my trophy baby.

Let’s be happy because this picture makes it look like I’m wearing a  floral jumper, which could possibly be floor length, and that is AWESOME.

There were lots of fun games planned.  Here are the three year olds participating in the egg walk:

They were super excited, obviously.  Her shirt isn’t really a dress, there are shorts under there!  But remember when I bought everything in 4T?  Don’t be mad at my camera, Mickey is actually blurry like that in real life.

Turns out this was Olivia’s best performance of the night.  I bet the people around us thought she’d been training for this event for at least 15 years.  Cool as a cucumber and steady as a horse. Or something.  In her excitement at winning, she threw her egg to the ground, smashed it, then scooped a little bite of it into her mouth with her spoon while I started screaming, “NOOOOOOOOOO!” in slow motion.  It’s making me gag just thinking about it.  But she’s still alive right now, so I’m assuming she’ll survive.

She also ate approximately 12 suckers.

Hey!  Remember Thursday night?  Remember how we attended the midnight-thirty showing of Harry Potter 7part2??

We approve of Harry Potter.

But, really, I was just trying to play it cool, because this is how I actually felt about it:

Yep, creepy and pointy chinned for Harry Potter!  HOORAY! And Alisha! I’m so glad she made it into the pic.

And then remember how my camera took this terribly blurry picture and then we got photo-bombed and then I decided to post it anyway because it’s the only one I got of the 5 of us because my battery was dying?

Me too.

Can we talk about HP, for just a sec?  It was really great.  But I definitely read the book a couple weeks before and I have a hard time dealing with the kind of huge plot changes.  I felt like they slaughtered my two favorite parts of the book!  Exclamation points!!!  So anyway, if you haven’t read the books and you’ve only seen the movies?  Read the books, for crying out loud.  But also, I loved it.  And I think Alan Rickman is the best ever.  And it was worth being up until 4 a.m. the day before my chemistry final.  Seriously.

I love that you love Alan Rickman! He is the perfect Snape. I secretly (and no so secretly) love HP also! My family waited for me to come with them (which was VERY hard for them)...we go next weekend!

I hope your final went well!

That spread-eagle photo of Thomas is the BEST. And brave Michelle staying up that late with 2 babies and no guaranteed sleep! I'm glad you had fun. And I hope your chemistry final was blessed by your HP love.
